Opening with a Splash

Redmond –The Central Oregon Park and Recreation District (COPRD) opened a splash park adjacent to the Cascade Swim Center over the Memorial Day weekend. The grand opening festivities included free admission and barbeque lunch. The 150-person capacity of Cascade Swim Center was reached within the first hour.

The splash park will be open during recreational swim times for the duration of the summer as weather allows. Summer recreation swim times (beginning June 16th) are scheduled from 1:00 – 3:50 PM and 7:05 – 8:25 PM. Admission to the Cascade Swim Center includes use of the splash park and is $3.00 for adults, $2.00 for children and $1.00 for senior citizens.
